Cependant, elle s\u2019impose du c\u00f4t\u00e9 de la mobilit\u00e9 lourde, en particulier sur les v\u00e9hicules utilitaires et les camions. L\u2019hydrog\u00e8ne est techniquement sup\u00e9rieur, avec une grande autonomie et une int\u00e9gration qui n\u2019empi\u00e8te pas sur la charge utile. De plus, le temps de recharge est r\u00e9duit \u00e0 quelques minutes, avec la m\u00eame souplesse qu\u2019un plein de carburant conventionnel. L\u2019hydrog\u00e8ne a aussi sa place dans les trains, en alternative au Diesel. Alstom a fait le pari de cette technologie en Allemagne, o\u00f9 les premiers trains Coradia iLint H2 ont \u00e9t\u00e9 lanc\u00e9s avec succ\u00e8s. L\u2019industriel fran\u00e7ais va d\u00e9velopper son offre en France, o\u00f9 des premiers trains devraient circuler d\u00e8s 2022, et en Italie. D\u2019autres pays en Europe, aux USA et en Asie, y voient un avantage sur les lignes non \u00e9lectrifi\u00e9es.
