Burgundy-Franche-Comt\u00e9 Region<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Hydrogen is a key driver of economic development and an essential energy vector for actively engaging in the energy transition. Europe, the State and many European regions are already involved in developing this sector.<\/p>\n

Burgundy-Franche-Comt\u00e9 is identified at European level as a \u201chydrogen territory of the future\u201d thanks to its many strengths: research excellence, particularly in fuel cells and hydrogen storage, technology transfer tools such as FC Lab, and numerous projects led by companies (Forvia, Inthy, GenHy, Inocel, John Cockerill and many others) as well as local authorities.<\/p>\n

The Region has made hydrogen a priority in response to the urgency of climate challenges. Its strategy is implemented through the \u201cBurgundy-Franche-Comt\u00e9 Hydrogen Roadmap\u201d, which mobilises \u20ac100 million over the 2020\u20132030 period.<\/p>\n

To deploy this strategy, the Region relies on key stakeholders such as the regional economic agency (AER), P\u00f4le V\u00e9hicule du Futur, and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, as well as partner territories committed to hydrogen ecosystems.<\/p>\n

Since 2019, the sector has accelerated significantly, making Burgundy-Franche-Comt\u00e9 home to many actors developing expertise in this forward-looking technology.<\/p>\n

Grand Belfort Agglomeration \u2013 European Capital of Hydrogen<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Grand Belfort has made hydrogen energy a priority due to its environmental and economic benefits. With strong industrial know-how and research capabilities, it has developed a dedicated ecosystem for this green energy: research, training and certification, production, storage and distribution for both stationary and mobility uses.<\/p>\n

Now recognised as the European capital of hydrogen, Grand Belfort invests in and supports every company in the sector wishing to establish itself in its territory.<\/p>\n

National Fund for Land Planning and Development<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The National Fund for Land Planning and Development (FNADT) provides financial support from the State, both for investment and operating costs, to actions that contribute to territorial planning and cohesion policies.<\/p>\n

It finances projects that promote local development and have a structuring impact.<\/p>\n

Pays de Montb\u00e9liard Agglomeration<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Pays de Montb\u00e9liard Agglomeration is the leading economic hub in North Franche-Comt\u00e9 and the third largest agglomeration in the Burgundy-Franche-Comt\u00e9 region, with 72 municipalities and 142,000 inhabitants.<\/p>\n

From business support to waste collection and treatment, public transport organisation, and the development of higher education and research, the agglomeration operates in many fields.<\/p>\n

Strongly future-oriented, it leads the \u201cTerritories of Innovation\u201d programme focused on the transformation of an industrial territory. It coordinates around thirty projects related to Industry 4.0, the hydrogen sector and digital transformation, relying on a consortium of 17 public and private partners.<\/p>\n
