Energy transition manager
Benoît Calatayud is a graduate of Sciences Po and the Ecole Centrale de Nantes. He worked for nearly five years at the Energy Regulatory Commission, mainly on tariff issues and on the regulation of network operators. He joined Bpifrance in 2018 as energy transition manager where he is notably the referent for hydrogen.
Deputy Director – Infrastructure and Mobility Department
Engineer of the Corps des Ponts et Chaussées: after a career in the French administration, then 7 years developing midstream gas projects at Total, Gautier Chatelus joined the Caisse des Dépôts Group in 2009 to develop investments in Infrastructures and Mobility. Gautier Chatelus is now deputy director of the department in charge of this activity, and in particular is developing a vast portfolio of projects which has so far reached nearly € 1 billion invested. These investments on French territory are made in major transport infrastructures (rail, port, road, airport), but also in innovative mobility services with around twenty participations and numerous clean mobility projects (hydrogen refueling stations , BioGVN, electric charging stations and fleets of clean vehicles).
Grégoire Chauvière Le Drian
Head of the office
Grégoire Chauvière Le Drian is now head of the EIB Group office in France, after having devoted nearly 10 years to the institution with the French Vice-Presidents. Normalien, graduate of Sciences-Po, holder of a DEA in development economics from EHESS and agrégoire in economics and management, Grégoire is a convinced European, drawing on various professional experiences mainly in the parapublic financial sector: to the Treasury on European issues, to the French Development Agency, to the cabinet of Minister Laurent Fabius in charge of economic and development issues upstream of COP21, but also to Expertise France in Vietnam. Passionate about travel (more than 70 countries visited) and outdoor sports, Grégoire is married and the father of two children.

I joined the CEBFC, as Head of Participation – Private Equity, in 2019 after having worked for 11 years in a subsidiary of Siparex based in Bourgogne Franche Comté.
For 15 years in regional private equity, I have carried out around twenty operations, supported around thirty business leaders in the creation, development or transfer phase, participated in raising several funds, setting up numerous partnerships and opened and animated the Dijon office of Invest PME.
Graduated from a business school and a Master 2 in Business Diagnosis from IAE Lyon 3.
Witold Marais est Investment Manager chez Mirova, au sein de l’équipe infrastructure de transition énergétique. Il est également en charge de la diversification des fonds dans les secteurs de la mobilité bas carbone et de l’hydrogène. Avant Mirova, il a travaillé chez Glennmont Partners, investisseur d’énergie propre basé à Londres.
Manager of the industrial revitalization fund “Maugis”
Guy Maugis, 67, is president of the Franco-German chamber of commerce and industry. Adviser to the Bosch group’s management board from 2016 to 2019, he headed its activities in France, as Chairman of Robert Bosch France, from 2004 to 2016. Director of Constellium, he is also Senior Advisor of the private Equity fund KPS, as well as the companies ALIXIO and IAC. In 2019 he was entrusted with the management of GE’s reindustrialisation fund created in compensation for the 1,000 jobs that were to be created following the takeover of Alstom. Polytechnic, Engineer of the Corps des Ponts et Chaussées and a law graduate, Guy Maugis worked for several years at the Ministry of Equipment. He then continued his career at Pechiney, where he notably managed the Rhenalu Neuf-Brisach rolling plant, then within the American group PPG, where he chaired the European glass branch. After the takeover of PPG Glass Europe by ASAHI Glass, Guy Maugis took over the presidency of the European automotive activities of the Japanese group before leading its business development and aftermarket activities worldwide.
Jérôme joined Demeter Partners in 2016, a major player in private equity for the ecological transition, and supporting companies in the sector at all stages of their development: innovative startups, high-growth SMEs and infrastructure projects.
Jérôme is a Partner in the infrastructure team for funds dedicated to investments in renewable energies, energy transition and clean mobility.
Karine brings over 20 years of experience in the global energy industry, having successfully led numerous programmes in the clean energy sector, notably with energy giants ENGIE and GRTgaz. Her entrepreneurial track record and passion for innovation, having founded two companies in the natural gas and digital sector, and managed a third one in the clean fuel sector. These experiences give her a unique outlook on the start-up industry and invaluable insights on how to embrace its challenges and opportunities. Co-located in the Paris and Grenoble hubs, Karine will lead EIT InnoEnergy Team in France for a vibrant, sustainable European economy forward by supporting sustainable energy innovation.
